I'm Yaniv Bernstein. I've spent 20 years in tech, including a decade at Google working on Search, YouTube, and Maps. After that I ran engineering teams at startups, co-founded a company, and along the way became mildly obsessed with how organisations actually work (and why most of them don't).

In early 2025, I started using AI coding tools seriously. Claude Code, Cursor, the lot. Within weeks I was shipping faster than I had in years. It felt like the early days of the internet again: everything was possible, nobody had the playbook, and the people who leaned in were pulling ahead fast.

I started posting about this on LinkedIn. One post in particular took off: I argued that in 2026, unlimited AI tokens are the new MacBook Pro. The cultural signal that tells you whether a company actually takes its engineers seriously. It hit a nerve. 130+ reactions, thousands of impressions, dozens of messages from engineers saying "I wish I could find a company like that."

And I thought: why can't they?

There was no directory. No way to filter for companies that give their developers Claude Max subscriptions, or that encourage vibe coding, or where the CTO actually uses AI tools instead of just talking about them in all-hands meetings. Job boards don't capture this. Company culture pages don't mention it. The information existed, scattered across LinkedIn posts and word-of-mouth, but nobody had pulled it together.

So I built ivibecode. Entirely with AI tools, naturally. The whole thing is vibe coded.

The idea is simple: make it easy to find employers that embrace AI-assisted development. Not companies that mention AI in their job ads (everyone does that now), but companies where engineers actually work this way. Where the tools are paid for, the culture supports experimentation, and nobody blinks when you describe your workflow as "I told Claude what I wanted and it built it."

ivibecode is a side project. I run it from Sydney, Australia. I update it when I can, which lately has been quite a lot because (and I realise this is circular) AI tools make it very fast to maintain a website.
